Rehlko / Kohler KD15-350 E536 electric start engine: features and performance
The Rehlko / Kohler KD15-350 E536 is a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled diesel engine with a displacement of 349 cm³. This electric start configuration is intended for agricultural applications and belongs to the KD Series of air-cooled diesel engines of Lombardini origin.
In the E536 version, the engine delivers 5.5 kW, equivalent to 7.4 HP, at 3,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 16.0 Nm at 2,500 rpm, with variable speed operation. Its design is based on direct injection, a 20.3:1 compression ratio, a die-cast aluminium crankcase with an integral cast iron cylinder liner and an aluminium cylinder head.
The engine is EU Stage V compliant, and electric starting combined with automatic compression release makes everyday start-up straightforward. For electric start engines, a flywheel-side power take-off is also available on request, together with a 12 V or 24 V alternator with voltage regulator, to adapt the KD15-350 to the requirements of the agricultural machine.
