What it is for

The Rehlko-Kohler-Lombardini FOCS standard connecting rod bearing with original code ED0016401160-S is the anti-friction component installed in the connecting rod big end around the crankshaft journal.

The bearing supports the loads generated during combustion and allows the connecting rod to rotate correctly on the crankpin while maintaining the manufacturer’s specified oil clearance. A worn bearing may cause knocking, reduced oil pressure and crankshaft damage.

The standard-size version is intended for unground crankshafts and is compatible with numerous FOCS LDW, KDW and LGW engines. On some later LDW/KDW 702, 1003 and 1404 engines, the correct bearing depends on the engine serial number.

Connecting rod bearings must be selected according to the crankpin size and engine serial number. On LDW/KDW 702, 1003 and 1404 engines with serial numbers above 5121000010, bearing ED0016300760-S may be required. If you are not sure, contact us before ordering with the engine model, serial number and measured crankpin diameter.
